If you haven’t heard of Miss Fortune, it’s a retro-inspired clothing brand that has been designing and producing darling garments since 2005. Among the adorable dresses and tops that Miss Fortune makes, what really stands out to me are their carefully-constructed jumpers, or little t-shirt sweaters (to use Canadian descriptors haha).
My absolute favourite is the Bobbie Spider Web Jumper in Kiwi, with its unique blend of sweet and spooky, from its classic silhouette to the spiderweb detailing on the shoulder. To me it is the perfect meeting of minds between what is conventionally feminine, and something with personality without veering into garishness.
The Bobbie Spider Web Jumper is constructed out of a thick knitwear, so I have been very careful not to put it in the dryer when I’m doing my laundry – this is to ensure that it it will last for many years to come. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and strength of the material, so I won’t worry too much if I accidentally put it in the dryer at some point.
Retailing for £37.99, the Bobbie Spider Web Jumper comes in a array of colours, including maroon, black, light blue, and pink. The top is cut generously so that if you prefer a tighter fit you have the option to size down. The the sizes range from XS – XXL to account for women of all shapes and sizes. For your reference, my measurements are B-35 and W-25 and I am wearing an XS.
Miss Fortune partnered with the jewellery brand Luxulite to pair their adorable Confetti Lucite style Spider pin brooches with select colours of the Bobbie Spider Web Jumper. I absolutely love how perfectly this little detail adds to the overall look!
As a final note, when Tom and I were scoping out a spot to take these photos, he came up with the fantastic idea to do so in my building’s parking garage outside of the boiler room. We thought this was a great way to highlight the Bobbie Jumper’s film noir vibes!
